During standard overnight trips we are not going to the outer reef (outside of the islands) but you will snorkel on the fringe reef which stretches between islands. You will see the same fish and very similar coral but in a smaller version. During Private charters we can sail to the outer reef and then you can experience the ”big reef”. Great Barrier Reef is approximately 20 Nm of shore and it takes 5 hrs to get there.

diving whitsundays

Snorkel or dive? Both options are fine in the Whitsundays, snorkeling is no less exciting than diving, it is a completely different experience. The best snorkeling is in shallow water, approximately 1 meter above coral. You can use noodles to support you and whole idea is to do as little as possible. You float on surface and watch. In the best places we will take you to you can start snorkeling straight off the beach or jump from yacht.

For divers, we have two options:
Certified divers can hire equipment and go diving where they wish or we can arrange a rendezvous with a diving boat and you join them for diving session.
